Executive Chef Schaefer
Chef Schäfer began his formal culinary training in his hometown in Vienna, Austria, serving a three year apprenticeship at the Grand Hotel Sauerhof in Baden, one of Austria’s finest five-star luxury hotels. He subsequently spent the next five years working in three of the most luxurious hotels in Switzerland, all with Michelin star restaurants, serving as Chef de Party, Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
He now leads a team of seasoned culinary professionals at the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa as Executive Chef, preparing an innovative fusion of New American cuisine.
