A flawless proposal
I wanted to thank you all! If it wasn't for all your help and planning this day wouldn't have been so perfect. You all seriously made this process so easy and my nephew and I couldn't have asked for better people to work with. A note from the groom
A common military saying states, “There is no perfect day.” Explained in full, this phrase encapsulates the idea that any large-scale operation, fraught with uncertainty, risk and filled with ambitious purpose will encounter disappointment and shortfall. I am writing to inform you that I now know this adage to be untrue – at least as far as your Hilton Mission Bay resort is concerned and where Martin Nace Hall is involved.

Since the wedding was planned remotely (from outside San Diego), you can imagine the potential for greater stress and worry was probable. Because of the continuous engagement of Martin and his staff, who accommodated every request promptly and with the greatest level of professionalism possible, it was clear that our venue and hotel were the least of our problems. Having Martin and his team handle just about anything we needed done was an inestimable benefit and probably the most memorable part of this whole experience. Martin made our wedding a personal priority from start to finish, which made the experience as stress free as possible. To have a consummate professional (and a talented staff) in charge of a comprehensive event makes enjoying it that much easier.

Chef Hermann is as talented as any culinary expert found in any fine restaurant or famous hotel. His infectious personality is only matched by his ability to innovate with cuisine and the art of its presentation. He made me and my wife excited about our wedding menu from the start. Every hotel food and beverage experience our guests or I had that weekend made it abundantly clear that Hermann enjoys making ‘hotel food’ an extraordinary experience.

Hilton event staff members were just as excited and friendly as our guests. We have attempted to name a few, but there are far too many names of the people who cheerfully helped us celebrate by setting up, cleaning up, and doing the myriad of tasks nobody hears about or thinks of. Their smiles were plenty and genuine. What wonderful people you have on your staff at the Hilton Mission Bay.


Great wedding venue!
We really enjoyed having our wedding at the Hilton. Laura G. was great and helped so much with everything. We looked around and their prices were very competitive. We did ask for some extras that weren't originally included, but luckily they accommodated us. The grounds are beautiful, and all our guests had a great time.


Best Wedding Ever!
We had our wedding at the Hilton on March 15, 2014, we couldn't have asked for a better location. The view you get as well as the hotel landscape is all gorgeous. I worked with Laura Gipson. She was amazing and worked with me on exactly what I wanted. We had our ceremony at Garden by the bay. Then our reception outside at South Pool. We even had a ballroom for late night festivities since the outside area closed at 10. This was a great idea and everyone loved it so we could keep the party going. We keep getting continuous compliments on how casual and fun our wedding was and none of that would've been possible with out Laura's help. She was always ready with ideas but always supported mine as well. We did stations of food which we got to taste and they were just as delicious the second time around. People loved the food and the different selections. I would recommend Laura and the Hilton to anyone that asked. Our wedding went so smoothly and we were actually able to enjoy it because I knew I was in good hands and didn't have to worry about anything.

Beautiful location!
We decided to have our daughter's wedding at the Hilton Resort & Spa in San Diego because of the beautiful location. It turned out to be a good decision, the staff were very friendly, courteous, & helpful. Laura Gipson, Catering Coordinator was a heaven's sent. We were able to finalize the details in a short time and Hilton delivered. We were very satisfied and will plan to come back for a relaxing vacation this time.
Room Tip: Tower facing the Bay in the upper floor, preferably 6-7th floor.


Great Service all around!
We had our wedding here on March 15, 2014 so I was able to work with lots of different people at the hotel. Starting from the Catering Manager, Laura Gipson who was great and helped me plan the wedding of my dreams. I constantly was visiting the hotel as a part of the planning process and all the staff was always so nice. We also had Brittany Haskell taking care of all our guests coming in from out of town and staying for the night. She accommodated everyone as best she could and I'm so glad everyone was in good hands, it made one less thing for me to worry about. Thanks again for all your help!


Amazing experience!
I recently held my wedding reception here and I was very pleased with the level of service that the Hilton provided. Laura, our Catering Coordinator, took care of us before our event and I appreciated that she was on site and in our ballroom the day of the event. She was and is wonderful and really took care of my family and I during the planning process. She answered questions in a timely manner, had great ideas and would constantly update us. If you are planning a wedding and considering a venue, then you need to seriously consider this location!! Laura and the staff are amazing. During the reception, my family kept mentioning how Chris, a Banquet Manager, would check on the staff and made sure everyone was taken care of.

What I noticed was that the staff during the reception were incredibly professional and friendly. Specifically at the bar! They made a LOT of friends there! I appreciated that. Also Samantha and the ladies at the Front Desk would remember my husband and I when we would visit and I thought that was really awesome. When my husband and I checked out and headed to another hotel, we immediately saw a difference in service... Aside from the beautiful views, delicious food, and fabulous service, this Hilton really made our special day a wonderful experience to remember. Thank you. We may see you on our anniversary.
